同じ街にいることは、他人とつながっていることなのだろうか。

人混みや電車の中で他人の身体や会話に囲まれていた。
距離は近いのに、その人たちとは接続していない。

街で拾った断片的な言葉、
表示、光、反射、移動する風景を重ね、
意味は読めるのに、誰とも共有されていない言葉として都市を捉える。

Does being in the same city mean that we are connected to one another?

I moved through the city without ever fully feeling that I belonged to it,
surrounded by other people’s bodies and conversations in crowded streets and trains.
We were physically close, yet there was no connection between us.
By layering fragments of words overheard in the city with signs, light, reflections, and passing scenery,
I approach the city through
language that can be understood, yet is shared with no one.
